Thank you for your continued support of Hikobayu.

This summer, Hikobayu will team up with nationally active educator Katsunori Ishida to host a special event for parents and children set in the natural surroundings of Niseko.

As the head of Mama Cafe® , Professor Ishida provides healing and learning to mothers all over the country, and has collaborated with our company to develop aromatherapy. She has also provided relaxation through aroma at lectures across the country.

As part of this activity, we are heading to Niseko Forest this year!
We will be holding an original tour where parents and children can open up their five senses and enjoy an experience that connects scents with memories.

[Event Summary]

A parent and child escape the city and spend a day in the forests of Niseko, Hokkaido.
Take a walk through a quietly maintained forest, open your senses and come face to face with nature.
The scent you sense in the forest will be mixed into an aroma mist on the spot, providing a special experience that connects memories with scents.

[Event Information]

• Date : Sunday, July 27, 2025, 9:30-13:00

• Location : Niseko Town, Abuta District, Hokkaido General Athletic Park Parking Lot Meeting place

• Participation fee : Adults: 6,000 yen (tax included: junior high school students and above)
  Children: 4,000 yen (tax included: 4-12 year old elementary school students)
  Free for children under 3 (preschoolers)
  

• Target : 10 parent-child pairs (adults only are also welcome) *Maximum of 25 people

• In case of rain : The event will proceed rain or shine (subject to some changes in the event of severe weather)

• *The tour is scheduled to finish around 1pm, so you are welcome to bring some snacks with you and eat them while walking or during breaks during the tour (although this is not required).

[Program for the day]

1. Forest Walk (9:45-11:00)

Parents and children can take a leisurely stroll through a forest that has been carefully maintained through self-logging practices, guided by a wood education master.
Listen to the sounds of the forest as you observe the leaves and acorns.

2. Distillery tour (from around 11:15)

At the Hikobayu distillery, you will visit the workshop where fir essential oil is made.
You can learn how the blessings of the forest are transformed into fragrance.

3. Aroma Mist Making Workshop (11:30-13:00)

Using the scents they sense in the forest, parents and children will create a one-of-a-kind aroma mist.
Using the "Fragrance Pyramid" as a reference, the fragrances were announced with original names.
Maybe it will even be commercialized?!
