Kumicho is a master of heat waves at Nico Refre.
I am always moved by Kumicho's Aufguss.
He applies steam in multiple layers, filling the space. The author feels that he has complete control over the steam. He is also a passionate sauna enthusiast.
Kumicho and HIKOBAYU first met at an outdoor sauna event organized by Tokyu Resorts x OUTDOOR SAUNA CLUB at Hirafu Ski Resort in Niseko in 2020. At that time, they decided to use HIKOBAYU aromas in a loyly.

Q: What was your impression of HIKOBAYU, especially its aroma?
Kumicho: The aroma is from Hokkaido and I thought it smelled great. I would like to spread the word about Hokkaido saunas.
Being from the same Hokkaido region, I think Niseko will likely expand in the future. I also thought the lineup and names were innovative.
For example, what is ONSEN SPA? As someone who works in the hot springs industry, I couldn't ignore it.
Q: I'm really grateful, but why does Kumicho recommend HIKOBAYU aromas?
Kumicho: Not only the scent, but also connecting with HIKOBAYU in real life at a sauna event and seeing him enjoy his personality and the sauna.
The product design is cute and I wanted to support it.

Q: What do you think is good about the six Hikobayu aromas that were actually used in the loyly at Nikoh Refre?
ETHEREAL FIR ORIGINAL (Todomatsu essential oil)
It starts with a calming scent, making it easy to get into sauna mode.
The aroma gradually spreads along with the steam, gradually becoming heavier and heavier, and then the scent of Japanese Sakhalin fir arrives. I really like the way the aroma spreads, gradually getting deeper.
YUZU
(When used for loyly) it feels like a yuzu bath and is nice and steamy. It also contains fir, so I think the scent spreads well. Many of our staff like it too.
Preferences are divided between citrus and woody scents, but this is a popular scent with both.
ONSEN SPA
(When used for loyly) it has a stable scent, not too strong or weak, and I think it has a well-balanced scent. I think both men and women will like it.
MISTY FOREST
(When used for loyly) I recommend this to people who like wild wood scents. It makes you feel like you've suddenly entered a forest!
POWDER WAVE
The scent today was amazing! It was so good! It was very well received by customers, not just mint fans. It also has a calming effect, probably because it contains Japanese Sakhalin fir.
LAVEN + fir
It's a blend of lavender and Japanese red pine, and I think it's a surefire blend.
Q: Please tell us again about the feedback you have received from customers.
The Silent Loyly is set to last a long time, but you can really enjoy it and feel like you're immersed in a forest world!! The scent was amazing!! It was really well received, so we decided to hold it more frequently than originally planned.
You'll receive compliments that you wouldn't get for ordinary aromas.
Q: How did you decide the amount of aroma to use (fragrance strength)?
If it's too strong, it gets exciting, but if it's too weak, it becomes unsatisfying,
We use the right amount, taking into consideration the size of the sauna, the ventilation, and the lingering scent until the next loyly.
